Daily Shots Cafe

After a not-so-great dinner in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, we spotted Daily Shots Cafe just a few doors away. The sign outside the cafe said 50% off for Apple Crumble and Chocolate Lava cake ! Yes !

Occupying just half a shop lot, the cafe was quite narrow but looks cozy. The cake counter looked tempting with well presented sliced cakes and some doughnuts and pastries. They even had honey and  gelato.

We didn’t feel like having gelato so it was just Cafe Latte and Chocolate Lava cake for me while Ann opted for Mocha Macchiato and Morning Coffee (Tiramisu) cake.

The drinks and cakes were served on wooden boards which I thought was really cool – looks like a big coaster or placemat.

I am a Café Latté person so this was the “acid” test if I like a café. Well this one passed ! the Latté was great, not too bitter or not too much milk. I normally do not add sugar and it was just right for me. The Mocha Macchiato was good too and Ann enjoyed it.

The Chocolate Lava cake came looking like what it should be – lava flowing out of a volcano !

The texture of the cake was a bit dense and the bottom a bit crusty but it was delicious ! Sccop some of the cake with the molten chocolate…….  yummy!

The Morning Coffee Cake was interesting. It had layers of cake and tiramisu, the outside coated with whipped cream and decorated with melted chocolate and walnut topping. It was not too rich and went really well with a good Cafe Latte !

Well, the night was saved by Daily Shots. We had a good chat and were really stuffed. Will go back for the gelato ……Daily Shots Cafe
